Evan Conravey, owner of Subterranean Construction, LLC is a big fan of A-2000 PVC pipe. So much so, that he chose it for a drainage job in Jefferson Parish.

When Conravey started work on the Bunche Village Drainage Project at Myrtle and Meadow Streets in East Jefferson, he knew he would go with PVC pipe.

Subterranean used 2,700 linear feet of A-2000 PVC of various diameters ranging from 15″ to 36″.

Conravey says this is significant, “because it’s the first time PVC pipe was used on a street drainage job in Jefferson Parish.”

He also said, “I’ve been laying A-2000 for more than 10 years. We’ve had very stringent testing, and we’ve had zero problems with the product in all that time.”

Conravey says he chose QSM to supply the pipe because, “they’re attentive to our needs, and they have access to a broad range of products.”

“Eric Beach (at QSM) has been in the drainage business for a long time. He’s very knowledgeable of the product. His company has everything we need, and they work with us to get things delivered on time, and they stay with us every step of the way.”

QSM supplied Subterranean with A-2000 and precast concrete for catch basins on this job. The project was funded by Federal Community Development Block Grants, and administered through Jefferson Parish.

Bunche Village was identified, in Parish plans, as one of the areas that required the most attention with regards to drainage repairs.

Subterranean has 28 employees, and performs sewerage, water and drainage construction throughout South Louisiana. Mostly working in Orleans Parish, Jefferson Parish, and St. Tammany.

Says Conravey, “We’ve been around for 15 years. We have a good reputation, and we continue to do what we do best: Quality work that keeps the customers happy.”
