QSM was an exhibitor at the Louisiana Civil Engineering Conference & Show held September 28-29, at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner. TJ Truxillo, who serves in the role of business development and technical sales for QSM was our point man in the exhibit booth both days.

Earlier that week, Truxillo and QSM’s Josh Loeske, also participated in WEFTEC New Orleans, 2016.

WEFTEC, the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference, is the largest conference of its kind in North America and offers water quality professionals from around the world with the best water quality education and training available today.

The event also is recognized as the largest annual water quality exhibit in the world — with an expansive show floor giving unparalleled access to cutting-edge technologies in the field.

Says TJ: “There was a great turnout at WEFTEC. It’s a powerful thing to see people gather from all around the world in our own backyard to learn about better ways and technologies to manage water and wastewater. We are proud to have participated in the event.”

On the Louisiana ASCE Show, TJ says, “This year’s event was another success. It’s a great conference, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to meet with so many engineers in Louisiana who are interested in new products being brought to market.”

WEFTEC was held at the New Orleans Morial Convention center. It featured more than 1,000 exhibitors, a comprehensive learning program of technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops, and was attended by more than 25,000 people across three days.

Topics covered at WEFTEC included: wastewater treatment, water treatment, stormwater treatment, pipes and collections systems, instrumentation, controls, and automation processing.

WEFTEC is the one event where water industry professionals from around the world gather to learn about the latest innovative technologies and solutions.

This year’s event also featured a day-long program with a focus on stormwater management. The Stormwater Congress included sessions on flood impacts and mitigation, stormwater systems and transportation, green infrastructure and funding challenges.

Loeske, QSM’s CEO says, “it’s important for us to attend these trade shows so we can keep up with the latest technology and bring that information to our customers in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida. We invest time in WEFTEC and in shows like the Louisiana Civil Engineering Conference to attain knowledge of new and innovative solutions.”

Of particular interest to QSM this year were green infrastructure technologies, and the Innovation Showcase. Exhibit space took up the full expanse of the New Orleans Convention Center.
